Year 3 Autumn Term 2021

In Year 3 this term we will be investigating ‘Fast Fashion’. We will be researching what ‘Fashion’ means, what fabrics clothes are made from and how we buy, wash and wear them. We will investigate the transparency and waterproofness of a range of fabrics and we will measure, model and design our own clothing range. We will also be learning about the countries our clothes come from and the Hindu religion. We are hoping to become even better at ‘drawing’ with the Spheros and we will use our Hwb accounts to search for information and access Google Classroom for homework and classroom tasks. We will be looking at being ‘Bucket Fillers’ by showing kindness and we are going to read ‘Bill’s New Frock’ by Anne Fine, which will hopefully spark some interesting writing and role play. In Numeracy we will look really closely at place value, addition and subtraction and we use these to support our work using money and measures. This term our Criw Cymraeg, Digital Wizards and Health and Eco Council members will be elected and we will be able to enjoy taking responsibility for other things now that we are in the top half of the school. We have an exciting term ahead which will include celebrations for Remembrance, Christmas and Anti-Bullying week among other things…..let’s get started!
